New Custom Branded USB Flash Drives!

I love my new custom branded USB flash drives! In this video, I talk about why I chose this style design and why it's great to have your own custom USB flash drives.

Brand Your Own USB Flash Drives Here! (Btw, Excellent customer service!)
https://www.usbmemorydirect.com/products/bullet_usb_drive.htm

I chose this design because of its sleek design, metal protective casing, screw on cap, and key ring features. It also stores about 8GB of memory which is plenty of music to carry with you when you DJ. I also plan to give these away at my new bridal show and pre-load them with mixes and more information about my DJ services. This is a great way to brand yourself as a DJ and am happy how it all turned out. Thank you, USB Memory Direct!

Rocking a Quinceañera Party at the Langham Pasadena!

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA  -- On October 13, 2017, I was the DJ and MC for Anna Sophia's Quinceañera at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, CA. It was an Americanized version of the Quinceañera with a mixture of some Spanish songs to fit the tradition and English songs to keep the party live and upbeat.

That evening I was set up on stage with my two RCF Evox 8 Speakers, Pioneer DDJ-SX2, Mini LED Moving heads, Laptop, and SoundSwitch.  I also provided Ape Labs Maxi uplights around the room to match her light pink color theme.

For her grand entrance, they had a mariachi band perform as she entered the room. During dinner, the mariachi band went around the room playing songs for everyone. We also watched a video presentation of Anna Sophia capturing some highlights of her life as she was growing up. Soon, we had the changing of the shoe ceremony, as well as, the father & daughter dance. We all partied and danced the rest of the night. Everyone had a great time at the party. Thanks Anna Sophia for having me as your DJ!

Filipino Wedding of 200 Guests at Woodland Hills Country Club!

On September 30, 2017, I provided my DJ/MC service for Andrew and Emylee's reception at the Woodland Hills Country Club. This was about a Filipino wedding of about 200 people. That evening, I set up my equipment for the cocktail hour room and reception room. I used a combination of my QSC and RCF speaker system to cover sound. To create a clean DJ setup, I used my new Pro-X DJ Facade with my Ape Labs Maxi lights to light it up. For dance lights, I used 2-wireless dongles to sync my moving heads.

The evening kicked off with a fun grand entrance of the bride and groom leading to their first dance and dinner. While guests are eating, I hosted a trivia game for the guests to learn more about the happy couple and gave away prizes to the winners. We continued with the parent dances, dancing, cake cutting, bouquet & garter toss, a group photo, honeymoon dance, and another open dance set. I even taught a few people how to dance the cha cha later in the night. Everybody had an amazing time that night, especially our bride and groom. Thank you Andrew & Emylee for having me as your DJ!

When a DJ & Band Rocks a Wedding!

On September 17, 2017, I DJed a wonderful wedding at the Birchwood Room in Calamigos Ranch for Danny & Evelyn. They hired me to DJ & MC for their ceremony and reception. At that time, it was my 2nd time DJing at the Birchwood Room and it was a pleasure to be back again.

Their wedding ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the fountain. I provided a wireless microphone and speaker to play music and for the officiant to speak. Everything went smoothly and the bride's song selection added an elegant and personal touch.

For the cocktail hour, they had a live band play r&b and Motown tracks to set the mood of the night. They were a great addition to add to their wedding and people loved them.

For the dinner, it took place on the patio of the venue which created a nice, intimate vibe. We had the band play during the 1st half of dinner and I had my chance to spin the 2nd half.

After the wedding formalities, we had the band open up the dance floor playing amazing covers such as September, Uptown Funk, and other dance classics. Then we switched up the vibe when it was my turn to perform. I continued to keep the dance floor by mixing a Latin set that included Suavemente, Danza Kuduro, Baila Esta Cumbia, and other Latin bangers. Everyone danced till the end and had an amazing time.

Overall, Danny, Evelyn, and their guests had a great time at the wedding. Thank you for having me as your DJ!

Wedding of Erica & John

On May 13, 2017, I DJed the wedding of Erica and John at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at CSULB. It was a gorgeous outdoor wedding that I can definitely recommend to any couple who are looking for a garden setting.

That evening, I was in charge of their wedding reception. Music was very important to the couple and what made this wedding interesting was that the couple didn't want any of the traditional music that are played at weddings. That equated to a more vibey, upbeat and club-like wedding. And wow, what a party! The whole reception was just perfect and people had an amazing time on the dance floor.

In this video are some highlights from their wedding and a WeddingWire review at the end. From the formalities to the party vibes, this video captures what it is like and should be at a wedding. Thank you, Erica & John, for having me as your DJ!

Wedding of Chelsea & Scott

Video taken from Snapchat & Instagram! Follow Me!

On May 14, 2017, I was hired from VOX DJs to DJ and host the wedding of Chelsea and Scott at the Camarillo Ranch House in Camarillo, CA. It was a Filpino-American Wedding, and they had a guest count of 250 as most of their family came from cities all over the US to witness this special occasion. This was a big wedding and was glad I worked with a team of professionals. Jane and her team from www.janealexanderevents.com helped me out throughout the day to ensure everything went smoothly.

That day I was in charge of their ceremony, cocktail, and reception. I didn't have an assistant with me to help me out, but fortunately, I arrived there early enough to handle it all on my own. For the ceremony, I setup near the large tree at the back of the ranch. I used my QSC K8 speaker to project sound, as well as my Alto ZMX122 mixer. They also had a special performance from The Brown Brothers who sang during the ceremony. For them, I setup 3 microphones on mic stands, 1 QSC K12 speaker on the floor as the monitor, and hooked up their keyboard to my mixer. The whole ceremony was beautiful and went flawless.

Shortly after the ceremony was the cocktail hour which I have used my battery-powered Denon speaker. I connected my iPad to it and played a playlist that I created on Spotify. I played a mixture of upbeat wedding music that catered to all ages. Even the staff had complimented and told me that they enjoyed the music. Thank you!

While people were enjoying the cocktail hour, I was doing my last touch ups, cleaning up, and sound check over at the reception area. When it was time to welcome guests, I had some upbeat wedding music in the background. I then lined up the wedding party outside and this even included their sponsors. The grand entrance was fun and the guests were cheering them on as they made their way inside. Right after the bride and groom's entrance, we did their first dance. Afterwards was a welcome speech from the bride's parents and a blessing from their officiant. Then it was time to eat.

While people are enjoying their delicious meals catered by Simply Marvelous BBQ (http://simplymarvelousbbq.com/), we had some special performances to entertain the guests. There were a total of 4 acts with 3 of them were solo singers. They provided me their iPhone to play the YouTube karaoke version of the song and they sang on top of the music. They were all great singers! The 4th act was from the group, The Brown Brothers. They sang over a music track that they've given me on a CD dedicated to the bride and groom. They sounded amazing!

Next, we had speeches and toasts. Following was the parents dances, and then an open dance floor! It was time to party! I played a mixture of Top 40 and classic funky and disco hits. I even played some Filipino favorites such as "Todo Todo" and other line dancing songs that gets people on the dance floor. About 30 minutes into the dance set, we took a break for the bride and groom to do their cake cutting, bouquet, and garter toss. My favorite parts was the bouquet toss because I played the song "Move B****" by Ludacris as the bride's request. You know it's going to be a fun party.  Then we continued with more dancing and mixing the music up for everyone to dance. Finally, we ended the night with "Don't Stop Believing". I gathered people around the dance floor to surround Chelsea and Scott with their love. They were singing and shouting having a great time.

Overall, the whole night was a success! And importantly, Chelsea and Scott had an amazing time at their wedding. It was a pleasure to have been their DJ. Congrats Scott and Chelsea!
